Morocco's upper chamber delegation visits Washington
Morocco-USA, Politics, 3/24/2001

A delegation from Morocco's upper legislative Chamber of Advisors will start next Tuesday a visit to Washington D.C. for meetings at the US congress and the state department.

An official source at the US congress said the advisors will also visit several US private institutions.

The mission marks the intensification of visits exchanges between the two countries' legislators and is part of the special Morocco-US ties, said the source.

Since the start of the year, two groups from the US congress have visited Morocco in January and February.

Another delegation, led by Republican representative, J.C. Watts, is expected in Morocco next April, part of an African tour to Senegal, Nigeria and Ghana, MAP reported.
