An attack at Saddam palace
Iraq, Politics, 3/24/2001
The spokesman for the Iraqi Islamic resistance of the higher council of the Islamic revolution in Iraq Hassan Abdullah said in a statement to the London- based al-Hayat daily issued on Friday that his forces attacked using Katyusha missiles of 122 mm caliber the Presidential palace in Baghdad on Wednesday evening.
Abdullah said that this attack, which is the third of its kind during one year, constitutes a defiance of the Iraqi regime because it was made in collaboration with the Iraqi army and by weapons from the warehouses of this army in Baghdad, in particular.
He continued that this type of weapons can not be smuggled through the borders and denounced the acts of killing and tortures carried out by the regime against the Iraqi people.
