Maroc-Telecom chief in Nouakchott

President Mouaouya Ould Sid Ahmed Taya of Mauritania received in Nouakchott Tuesday managing director of the Moroccan company Maroc-Telecom, Abdesslam Ahizoune.
Ahizoune is currently visiting Mauritania to finalize the privatization process of the Mauritanian telecom company Mauritel.
Maroc-Telecom holds 54 percent of Mauritel capital after it won the international tender on the privatization of the Mauritanian telecom company.
Ahizoune told reporters after the meeting that the Mauritanian president informed him on orientations related to the finalization of the operation so that it contributes to promoting economic and social activities in Mauritania.
The Mauritanian head of state insisted the operation must also be beneficial to cooperation between Morocco and Mauritania, Ahizoune said.
