One woman win a seat at the Jordanian parliament

A Jordanian official source said on Tuesday that a woman was elected on Tuesday as a member at the Jordanian parliament for the second time since the beginning of the democratic march in the country in 1989.
The election was made inside the parliament in order to fill an empty seat as when of the Parliament's 80 members died in January. He is Lutfi al-Barghouthi.
Nuha al-Mayata won 46 votes against 23 voted her rival Samar Khaled al-Haj Hassan and the abstination of three members from voting and other three votes are null among the votes of the 75 parliament members who attended the session dedicated for that purpose.
The election law in Jordan gives the parliament members the right to elect a candidate for an empty seat. A Jordanian " Toujan al-Faisal" was elected as a member in the Jordanian parliament when the first legislative elections was run in 1989. But she lost her parliamentary seat in the next parliamentary elections of 1993.
