Bulgarian President concludes state visit to Syria

President Bashar al-Assad and President Peter Stoyanov of Bulgaria held a meeting on Tuesday at the Damascus al-Shaab Presidential Palace. The meeting dealt with certain regional and international issues as well as bilateral relations between the two countries.
Later and in the presence of the two Presidents, three agreements were signed at al-Shaab palace. The agreements dealt with agriculture, double- taxation and internal security. The agreements were signed by the Minister of Agriculture Asad Mustafa, minister of Finance Muhammad Khaled al-Maheyni and the minister of the Interior Muhammad Harba, representing the Syrian side and the Bulgarian minister of Agriculture and deputy foreign minister.
Earlier in the day, President Stoyanov and members of the accompanying delegation visited the martyrs cemetery at the mount of Qasyoun which overlooks Damascus. He was accompanied by the head of the honor mission, who is the minister of higher education Hassan Risheh. he also visited old damascus quarters and toured its streets and archaeological sites. later in the day, the Bulgarian people and his wife left Damascus for Lebanon. They were seen off at the airport by President Bashar al-Assad, his wife and senior officials.
