A new government in Syria

The Lebanese daily al-Mustaqbal ( future) said in its Sunday's issue under the title " the governor of Damascus Ghassan al-Lahham is a candidate to preside the new government," that after talks about forming a new government in Syria in succession of the current government, indications in Damascus have surfaced on that the change will be great in leading position and in the state and the Baath party and not only in the government.
The paper added in a special report from its office in Damascus that several circles have nominated a " figure" works in the informatics area and close to President Bashar al-Assad and this figure is Ghassan al-Laham to preside over the Syrian government after he was assigned as a governor for the city of Damascus.
Well-informed sources expected that the new formation of the government to be in parallel with changes in the Baath Party leadership after the convening of the Party's central committee due to be next week and the completion of Baath party elections from the" base to the summit " ( hierarchy system)."
