Renovated bourse building inaugurated today

On the way to get Egypt back to restore its pioneer role as the greatest financial center in the Middle East, prime minister Ebeid opens today the Cairo and Alexandria Bourse building.

There have been repairs and renovation works comprehensive in the whole construction, particularly the circulation hall. That hall was modernized in accordance with the international systems, especially the huge circulation screens and the computer sets.

The capacity was extended so as to hold more of the broker companies and communication devices that match with the same systems applied in the great world bourses.

Sameh El-Turgoman, chairman of the Cairo and Alexandria stock exchange, affirmed that the restoration works covered all departments of serving the investors in the financial market. The aim is to share in developing the Egyptian economy as a whole and to place Cairo at the top of the regional financial centers.

The inauguration ceremony would be attended by 1000 financial local and international personalities and establishments. The updating of the bourse will share in activating the exchange market and provide information at utmost speed. More transparency will be available so as to get maximum accuracy .

Turgoman said it was of utmost importance to set an international circulation system furnished with the very lastest, uptodate means of technology. He said the bourse will use the modern Canadian circulation system (EFA) which would have several markets at the same time.
