Moroccan bourse capitalization declines in january

Capitalization at the Casablanca stock market stood at 110.66 billion Dirhams (nearly $ 11.06 billion) at the end of last January, marking a drop by 3.67 percent compared to the amount recorded at the beginning of 2001.
According to the Bourse's monthly newsletter, the volume of transactions reached 2.38 billion Dirhams (nearly $ 2.38 million), recording a decline of 58.55 percent compared to December 2000.
The Bourse General Index (IGB) also decreased in January by 3.66 percent over December, the newsletter added.
