Noubir Amaoui re-election on top of socialist union

Noubir Amaoui, was re-elected Friday Secretary-General of the Democratic Labor Confederation (CDT, close to Youssoufi's Socialist Party USFP).

Amaoui's re-election was made during CDT's fourth national congress, held in the Moroccan southern city of Laayoune.

Amaoui won the vote by overwhelming majority against another candidate Abdeslam Ouyhmane, who won 8 votes only.

More than 2,600 participants attended CDT's congress that wound up Friday. The encounter was held under the theme "Unity and Democracy."
