Khartoum prepares to open its embassy in Washington

The Sudanese foreign ministry has assigned its mission at the UN to start measures to re-open the Sudanese embassy in Washington. The Sudanese daily al-Anbaa issued on Thursday said that the foreign ministry asked ambassador Khuder Haroun to head for Washington in order to run the responsibilities of the Charge de affairs at the Sudanese embassy in Washington.
Haroun occupied the post of Sudan's ambassador in Japan. He also had the post of the director of the two Americas ( the US and Latin America ) departments at the Sudanese foreign ministry.
