Arab electricity project embodies Pan-Arab action

"The Arab electricity network project is one of the key Pan-Arab joint ventures to embody Arab joint actions," Director General of the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development Abdel Latif al Hamad said. The energy sector is the base for building the overall Arab economy, he told Good Morning Egypt television program Wednesday. "The project has been under study for years and its application has been in motion in the Arab region," he said.
He expressed hope that Arab states could, by the end of this year, benefit from the power grid linking the region from the Mashreq to the Maghreb.
