On the meeting of Syrian Baath party central committee; emergency laws

The London- based al-Zamaan daily said on Tuesday in a report from Damascus that the central committee of the Baath party will hold a meeting on Saturday to discuss the governmental position and arrangements for the change.
On the other hand, the paper quoted Naser Obeid al-Naser, who is a Baathist in a lecture at " Jamal al-Atasi " forum on Sunday that the " emergency law" is under study at the meantime by the Syrian leadership.
Al-Naser said that this emergency law will be only effective in " national security issues."
