Three Arab leaders to open electricity grid in Syria

The final preparations for operating an electrical link line between the Jordanian power network and its Syrian counterpart were made earlier in the day with electricity ministers from Egypt, Jordan and Syria attending.
The Egyptian power grid was linked to the Jordanian one in March 1999 when Taba transformer station was linked to Al-Aqaba station.
