More gunmen killed in Algeria

The Algerian National People's Army forces have recently killed an armed group of 70 armed gunmen who had been active in " Bu Taleb" mountain, 60 Kms to the east of al-Mseilah city which links the oads to al- Mseilah, Batinah and Steif provinces situated, 300 Km to the east of the capital Algiers after a siege which lasted for 11 days.

The Algerian daily " Sawt al-Ahrar" ( voice of the liberals) issued on Monday said that the armed groups was which besieged by the army forces, hid in a deserted camp in Bu Taleb mountains, known for its untoddon routes. A matter which obliged the army forces to use explosives which resulted in the collapse of the cave ( a sort of mine) and all gunmen inside it were killed as a result.

The gunmen used to use the mine as a place for nursing and a workshop to maintain weapons and make explosions.

On the other hand, the Algerian daily al-Youm said that the Algerian joint security forces killed last Friday 3 gunmen in al-Jalfa province, situated to the south of the capital Algiers in 300 Km.
