Follow-up committee report on Cairo summit resolutions

Cairo will witness intensive political activity in the upcoming few days in the framework of preparation for the Arab Summit which will be held on March 28.
To this effect, the Foreign Ministers of Egypt, Jordan and Palestine will hold a meeting tomorrow on the sidelines of the meetings of the Arab follow-up committee which will continue its meetings for implementing the resolutions of the last summit.
Foreign Minister Amr Moussa said that Cairo would witness Egyptian - Tunisian coordination for coordinating stances between the two states.
He said that Cairo will also witness a tripartite meeting among the foreign ministers of Egypt, Libya and the Sudan, besides other contacts held by Egypt with international parties including Sweden, the current Chairman of European Union.
He said that Egypt is also following up activities of the fact-finding committee in the occupied lands so as to submit a full picture on the situation in the occupied lands to Amman Summit.
A diplomatic source said that the follow up committee which will hold its sixth meeting in Cairo tomorrow under Foreign Minister Amr Moussa will draw up a final report on the implementation of Cairo summit resolutions to raise it before Amman Summit.
The source said that the report would tackle developments which have been witnessed by the region after Sharon had taken over in Israel and the Israeli violations in the occupied lands.
Meantime, the 115th session of the Arab Foreign Ministers, which will be held on Monday will discuss 38 items tabled on the agenda including developments of situation in the Golan, south Lebanon, Arab reconciliation and contacts which are aimed at lifting siege on Iraq. The Arab Foreign Ministers will give priority to issues which will be tackled by the forthcoming Arab Summit.
