Tunisia: al-Maghreb federation summit to be held before end of 2001
The Tunisian foreign minister al-Habib Bin Yahya said that a summit including heads of states of the Arab Maghreb will be held by the end of the current year and it will be preceded by a preliminary meeting for the foreign ministers in March in Algiers.

The Israeli occupation forces on Thursday continued its military reinforcement to build a new position to the south of al-Abaseyah town in the surrounding of the occupied Shebaa farms. News reports from the eastern sector of South Lebanon said that the Israeli forces on Wednesday deployed an armored Israeli vehicle to its positions in Shebaa farms, and that the Israeli forces installed a iron-steel tower on top of which there is a mobile radar at Shabaa caves position.

Morocco's central bank "Bank Al-Maghrib" reserves reached 52.65 billion DH in 2000 ($ 5.01 billion), dropping by 10.6% compared to 1999. The exchange office said despite the regression, the reserves are enough to cover six months of imports.
