A free trade zone between UAE, Morocco

The United Arab Emirates and Morocco have signed a minute of meetings of the experts committee relating to the establishment of a free trade agreement between the two states.

The Moroccan oil minister al-Mustafa al-Mansouri said that there is a great progress over the establishment of a free trade agreement between his country and the UAE. He added that consultation on establishing this free zone started since months and that a UAE delegation had visited Morocco for that purpose.

The minister said that the agreement provided for the establishment of a free trade agreement. He added: " we have agreed the points which will enable us reaching liberalized trade between the two countries and lists were drawn to exempt commodities from customs taxes. "The open list will be implemented as from now, he said.
