Meetings of the joint Egyptian- Kuwaiti committee due to be held in Kuwait on March 19 and 20 under the chairmanship of the two states' foreign ministers is of great importance because it will discuss several political issues pertinent to preparations for the Amman's Arab summit to be held by the end of March especially in regard to relations between Iraq and Kuwait, the situation in the Arab Gulf region and ME peace process developments.

Sources at the Egyptian foreign ministry said the committee will discuss several political issues, including political consultation to prepare for the next summit as well as bilateral relations and means of strengthening them in various economic and trade fields.
