Bin Eleazar is selected as Israel's defense minister

The French daily Le figaro said in its Saturday's issue that Benjamin Eleazar, member of the Israeli labor party, who was selected as a defense minister in the government of the coalition government of Ariel Sharon is of an Iraqi origin and has full command on Arabic and he has a very well-known past in making aggressions against the Arabs and he had chosen an Arabic name for himself " Fuad."

In an article quoted on Saturday by the Monte Carlo radio, the paper added was quoted saying the peace process has ended.

For its part, the French daily " France Seoure " said that Bin Aleazer was one of the architect of the Israeli invasion of Beirut in 1982 and he is among the most extremists against Damascus.

The paper added that by choosing this general to represent it in the coalition government, the Israeli labor party has offered Sharon invaluable " gift."
