King Mohammed meets Indian officials, heads of political parties

Morocco's King Mohammed VI held in New Delhi this Tuesday talks with several Indian officials and leaders of major political parties.
The king, who started on Monday an official visit to India, received in his residence in New Delhi Indian deputy-premier, Krishan Kant, and defense minister George Fernandes.
The king then met leader of the Indian opposition Sonya Ghandi and chairman of the ruling party (BJP), Bangaru Laxman.
The king also attended on the same day a lunch hosted in his honor by India's premier, Atal Bihari Vajpayee. In the morning, the king had met with Indian president, K.R. Narayanan, before chairing the signing of a package of agreements between the two countries, including a political declaration.
On Wednesday, King Mohammed VI is scheduled to hold a second work session with the Indian president and a meeting with trade and industry minister and chairman of the Indian industrial confederation.
A meeting with chairwoman of the inter-parliamentary union and vice-speaker of the senate is also on the King's agenda.
