Israel thanks Qatar for mediation role

The German radio correspondent in Doha said that the German President Yuhans Rao has, during his meeting with the ruler of Qatar Sheikh Hamad Bin Khaleifa al-Thani in Doha on Friday conveyed thanks of Israel to the state of Qatar which has so far played the role of the mediator in the conflict in the Middle East.

The German President also conveyed to the Emir of Qatar Israel's wish that Qatar will continue to taking such a " positive position." The Qatari foreign minister has stressed his country's readiness to proceed forward in playing this role. And this was expressed in the talks he has held with the minister of state at the German foreign ministry Christoph Zobel.

Both the Emir of Qatar and his foreign minister expressed their desire that the European Union will play the role of the mediator in case Israel approves so.
