New information technology, a priority sector for the government
Morocco, Economics, 2/26/2001

Moroccan Premier, Abderrahmane Youssoufi, said the government puts the sector of new information technologies among its priorities. The government is doing its best to develop the sector and to make it contribute to Morocco's development, Youssoufi told the first TV channel TVM, when he was visiting the international technologies fair (Sitexpo 2001), which downed curtain Saturday in Casablanca.

The fair was an opportunity to publicize Morocco's creative potentials in this promising field, he said. Some 102 exhibitors participated in Sitexpo 2001 that was visited by 40,000 people.
