An Arab minister in the Israeli government

The " al-Bayadar al-Seyasi" magazine which is published in the occupied Arab territories ( Palestinian territories) said that the Israeli Durzi member of parliament Ayoub al-Qarra has decided to be a minister in the new Israel government, noting that he ( al-Qarra) met with the Israeli prime minister elect Ariel Sharon and held a supporting conference for himself to be the first Arab minister in an israeli government.

Al-Bayader quoted the Israeli daily Yadhout Ahronout as saying that Ayoub loves the Torah and learns by heart some of its chapters like " the one who is coming to kill you," and " Safar al-Takwin" and at the Jewish Easter. He putt the Jewish hat and says: "When I sing the national Anthem ( the Israeli one) I feel like any other Jew. He added because I served in the Israeli army I had come out with a definition about the Arab in my Middle Eastern mentality. I belong to this group ( Middle Eastern) But I do not know myself as an Arab.

When he was asked " do you think that you have to be appointed as a minister for Arab affairs he said " this is racism." In the past when they did not understand the language and the faiths of the Arabs such a question can be put forward, but today why do we need that." Replying to another question on why he deserves to be the first Arab minister and he says " do not call me an Arab, say non-Jew. Because the word Arab implies anti indications, and because Ayoub loves the Torah."
