On the Israeli soldiers held by Hizbullah

During his meeting with the US secretary of state Colen Powell, the Israeli President Moshe Ksaf on Sunday debated the issue of the Israeli soldiers held by Hizbullah in South Lebanon and asked him his country to practice its influence to help in releasing these soldiers and asked this issued to be raised during Powell's visit to Syria.

The Israeli radio said that Ksaf handed the US secretary of states messages from the families of the Israeli seized and missing solders, noting that the US secretary of state promised his country to exert its efforts to this effect.

On the other hand, the Israeli radio noted that Powell indicated during his meeting with the Israeli President Moshe Ksaf that the Iraqi and Palestinian files are interrelated and should be dealt with without separating one from the other.

Powell indicated that the American position on that dealing with causes of the region on the ground of a regional vision, not separately.
