Some 2.5 million tourists visited Morocco in 2000, the Moroccan tourism said. The department said the figure will jump to 4 million in 2003 and 10 million in 2010. To attain this objective, Morocco intends to increase accommodation to 30,000 beds in 2003 and 160,000 in 2010.
Morocco also plans to consolidate its tourism infrastructure through building more sea resorts and decreasing taxes on investments in the sector.
