Saudi, Yemeni forces withdraw from border areas

It was reported in Sanaa that that the forces which are still deployed on the Saudi- Yemeni borders will be withdrawn shortly.
The Yemeni minister of the Interior Hussein Arab said that several military units in certain border areas between Yemen and Saudi Arabia will be withdrawn on Wednesday, adding that the process of withdrawing the units will be made in the central and western areas of the borders.
The measure falls in the course of the pulling out forces and rearranging military position on the to sides of the borders, according to Jeddah border treaty signed in June 2000.
The agreement states demarcating the borders which extends to 1350 Km, ending thereby decades of differences and later Saudi- Yemeni relations witnessed remarkable improvement.
