Al-Assad shows interest in the question of Imam Mousa al-Sader

The London- based al-Sharq al-Awsat daily said in its Friday's issue that Syria's President Bashar al-Assad showed clear interest in the question of the absence of Imam Mousa al- Sader and his two companions Sheikh Muhammad Yaqoub and Abbas Bader eddine whose trace vanished during a visit they were holding to Libya in 1978
The paper quoted a statement issued by Imam al-Sader center saying that President al-Assad on Thursday received at his special office in Damascus the sister of the Imam Rabab al-Sader and his son Bader eddine al-Sader and discussion dealt with the question of the disappearing Imam.
The statement added that President al-Assad stressed the need of following up the question of the Imam's absence in being a case of right and a national and humanitarian matter.
