American plan to topple Saddam

The Turkish daily "Hurriet" said on Tuesday quoting a well-informed Turkish source that the new US administration led by US President Bush is preparing a plan to topple the Iraqi President Saddam Hussein.

The paper added that the toppling plan will be made through air strikes operations together with pushing the Iraqi opposition to escalate its rebellion against President Saddam.

The paper quoted sources close to the White House that Washington hopes to have Turkey siding with it to implement this very objective in its being a strategic ally, adding that if his plan will succeed this means the establishment of project to re- building Iraq at a cost not less than USD 60 billion. A matter which will avail the Turkish companies to have the chance to win part of these projects.
