Consultation meeting this month in preparation for Arab League council session

The permanent representatives of the Arab states will hold a meeting at the headquarters of the general secretariat of the Arab League (AL) on February 28 to make consultations on issues listed on the agenda of the 115th session of the AL council due to be held at the level of the foreign ministers on March 12 and 13.
The official spokesman for the Arab league Talaat Hamid said on Monday that the meeting will be dedicated to discussed the AL agenda, including several political, economic, legal and security topics which are of concern to the common Arab activities, foremost being item number 5 relating to preparations for the Arab summit due to be held in March in Amman.
Hamid added that the meeting's agenda will also deal with following up the Palestinian Intifada and means of continuing the Arab political and financial support and the continued Israeli occupation of the Syrian Golan and Israel's obstruction of the peace process.
Hamid continued that the meeting will also discuss means of revitalizing the Arab boycott of Israel and to draw a plan to revitalize the boycott office in Damascus and following up the implementation of the major Arab free trade Zone.
