The Palestinian Intifada continues

Four explosives went off in an Israeli military vehicle upon passing on the road leading to Houmesh settlement in the West Bank. Two other explosives went off in Gaza.
The Israeli forces had intensified their military presence with the aim of tightening the siege imposed on the Palestinian Territories.
One member of the Palestinian national resistance movement ( Hamas) was killed as he underwent to fire from the Israeli positions. The killed Palestinian is Mahmoud Madani.
The secretary of the Fatah movement in the West Bank Marwan al-Barghouthi said the uprising will be escalated against the Israeli occupation during the coming month and that Sharon and others will " not be able to force us to give concessions."
At the political level, the representative of the PLO in Washington said that officials at the Palestinian Authority will meet in Washington with the US Secretary of State Colen Powel.
Detailed reports from the Palestinian territories said that four explosives went off on Monday on the road leading to Houmesh settlement in the West Bank when Israeli cars and armored vehicles passed in that area.
Israeli army forces carried out vast mopping up operations in the area but did not mention the damages resulting from the explosions.
However, the Israeli occupation army intensified its presence on Monday in various parts of Gaza and the West Bank with the aim to tighten the siege imposed on the Palestinians since 4 months.
The Israeli radio said that the Israeli army leadership in the southern area decided to intensify presence in various road axes and entrances of the Palestinian cities.
Moreover, the PLO representative in Washington said that officials in the Palestinian Authority will met today ( Tuesday) with the US Secretary of State for the first time since the Bush administration arrived at the White House.
Hassan Abdul Rahman told the Palestinian radio that the Palestinian delegation is led by the Palestinian official in charge of planning and international cooperation in the Palestinian Authority Nabil Shaath and the official at the Palestinian security in the West Bank Jibril al-Rajjoub headed for Washington to discuss the fate of the Palestinian- Israeli talks and conditions in the Palestinian territories as well as Powel's next visit to the Middle East.
