Arab league denounces anti-Iraq aggression
Regional-Iraq, Politics, 2/19/2001

The Arab attorneys federation condemned on Sunday the US-British warplanes attack against Iraq.

The Arab attorneys called the aggression "a blatant violation of international law and of the United Nations charter" and rejected the "the message of aggression sent by the new US administration."

On Saturday, the Arab league released a statement denouncing "the unjustified aggression" that "violates international resolutions and law" and calling the United Nations to "take the appropriate measures to guarantee the respect of Iraq's security and sovereignty."

The US-British joint air raids against targets near Baghdad which killed two people and injured more than 20 civilians sparked the anger across the Arab world.
