Bahrain to cancel security courts and law; the new charter

Bahrain's prime minister Sheikh Khaleifa Bin Salman al-Khaleifa has announced that the will has been directed towards canceling the state's security court and the state's security law and to take necessary measures to this effect in consolidation of what Bahrain enjoys of a precious confidence established between the people and their leadership.

The Gulf News Agency quoted Sheikh Khaleifa as saying in a speech. He presided over the weekly session of the Bahraini Cabinet and said that the intention was focused on what was states in the constitution and the charter of certain mechanism that attain audition, inspection, transparency, justice, and equal opportunities.

He explained that in this framework a committee will be formed to revitalize what was stated in the charter of principles and mechanism, noting that the committee's presidium had assigned the crown prince who is also the commander of the defense force Sheikh Salman Bin Hamad al-Khaleifa to establish other committees in order to make necessary amendments on the constitution so as to restore back parliamentary life and to make people involved in decision making and in drawing necessary legal texts to this effects.

Sheikh Khaleifa stressed that the march of democracy and people's participation in decision making requires from all great efforts in administrative reforms and economic and social development. A matter which need intensifying work and continued activities in order to achieve the ambitions of both the Bahraini leadership and citizens.
