China demands end to ongoing fighting, Mubarak recoginzed for efforts

China demanded an end for the ongoing struggle in the Middle East and urged the warring parties to observe the utmost self-restraint and halt further deterioration of matters.

The spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry said that the latest clashes between the Israelis and the Palestinians are extremely dangerous and impose a difficult de facto test for the peace process.

He called on the Palestinian and Israeli sides to immediately resume the peace negotiations. He voiced hope that relaunching of talks would help stem up the blood-spilling and setbacks in the peace process.

Mass circulation Brilliant Chinese Magazine selected President Hosni Mubarak as one of the world's greatest leaders in 2000.

The magazine described Mubarak as a prominent figure that plays a pivotal role in the Middle East peace process.

In statements to MENA, Editor-in-chief of the magazine Wang Kon, said Mubarak has led Egypt to achieve great accomplishments on the path of development.
