Qatari gas to the Emirates

Qatar's minister of energy and industry Abdullah al-Ateyah has expected to reach an integrated agreement to export Qatari gas to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) very shortly.

He said that the joint technical team held a meeting to draw an integrated draft agreement in preparation for the agreement to be signed later shortly.

He added replying to a question: " we have agreed on several issues that the joint team will finalize very soon," but he did not set a final sate for signing.

He said that the project to transport the Qatari gas to the UAE will strengthen economic relations between the two countries and will be a nucleus for an integrated Gulf Networking to transport gas in the future. He stressed that the revenues of the project for both Qatar and the UAE will be good for all.
