Al-Bashir discusses with Afourki, Deibi the development of bilateral relations

Sudanese President Omar Hassan al-Bashir has asserted continued efforts to develop Sudanese- Eritrea's relations and to attain full normalization between the two countries.
Following his meeting with the President of Eritrea Asyas Afourki on Wednesday in al-Khartoum President al-Bashir said he had discussed with Afourki bilateral co-operation between the two countries and strengthening relations between al-Khartoum and Asmara.
For his part, Afourki said before he had left al-Khartoum on Wednesday that efforts had been continuous to strengthen relations between the two countries and to create an atmosphere that would contribute to contributing to co-operation and integration between the two peoples.
He Sudanese President also discussed with President of Chad Idris Debi decisions reached by the summit of the desert and coast states which concluded its works on Wednesday evening.
Following the meeting President Deibi said that the current session of the coalition states will be useful in seeking solidarity, co-operation and integration among its states, noting that the decisions reached by the summit were effective and constructive that moved the organization to an advanced position.
The Chadi President commended the bilateral relations between Sudan and his country and described them as remarkable.
In a statement, the world food program said on Wednesday that at least 2.9 million Sudanese suffer from Hunger and that they are in drastic need for urgent food aids before the end of this year.
The statement added that joint report by the World Food program and the FAO stressed in January that the irregular rainfall had affected considerable the crops during the year 2000 and resulted in a shortage in foodstuffs and waters in several areas.
For his part the representative of the world food program in Sudan Masoud Haidar addressed an urgent call to donors in order to send urgent aid.
