Morocco-Equatorial Guinea, Politics, 2/15/2001
Morocco and Equatorial Guinea agreed to foster cooperation in parliamentary fields.
Means to attain this objective were studied Wednesday at a meeting between speaker of the Moroccan chamber of advisors (upper house of parliament), Mustapha Okacha, and visiting speaker of the Equato-Guinean house of representatives, Salomon Nguema Owono.
The two men lauded the excellent level of bilateral relations, especially at the political scale and called for more efforts to enhance their economic and commercial cooperation.
Owono recalled the role played by Morocco to establish peace in Equatorial Guinea.
Owono held similar talks with speaker of the house of representatives (lower chamber), Abdelouahed Radi, and with secretary of state for foreign affairs and cooperation, Taieb Fassi Fihri.
