Bush calls King Mohammed

US President Bush on Friday called over the phone King Mohammed VI of Morocco and renewed pledge and determination "to continue the strong ties" binding the two countries," Spokeswoman Mary Ellen Countryman said.
The sovereign, who is chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, and the new US president also spoke of the situation in the Middle East and the need for all sides to encourage peace and stability, the spokeswoman said.
