Explosion in Jerusalem, Israel continues attacks against Palestinians

A strong explosion took place in occupied Palestine on Thursday resulted in wounding 10 persons.
On Wednesday unidentified persons burnt some 13 Israeli cars in Bani Barak settlement near Tel Aviv.
Meantime, the Israeli soldiers and the settlers continued their attacks against the Palestinian people and their properties. As the Israeli soldiers opened fire against the Palestinians near Carni crossing an Natsareim settlement in the Gaza strip, and arrested one Palestinian officer, the Israeli settlers uprooted 500 olive trees in one of the towns close to Nablus.
The Israeli Beitseleim Human rights organization said that the Israeli army during the pat four months uprooted thousands of trees mostly olive trees in the occupied Palestinian territories.
Meanwhile, the Israeli prime minister -elect Ariel Sharon renewed his rejection to dismantle any of the Israeli settlements in the West Bank and Gaza for maintaining peace with the Palestinians, stressing that the settlements will remain in their place.
Later news reports said that the Israeli tanks existed near Bsaghout and Beit Eile settlements on Thursday evening bombarded continuously the cities of al-Beera and Ramullah where 5 Palestinian were seriously wounded as a result of the bombardment.
However, source in the Israeli police said that the explosion which resulted in wounding ten persons in Jerusalem took place near a Jewish religious institute in a quarters where extremists Israelis in western Jerusalem live, adjoining east Jerusalem.
A spokesman for the Israeli police said that ambulances and policemen were sent to the site of the explosion which is expected to be a result of a booby trapped car.
