A gathering on the Iraqi- Jordanian borders to support the Intifada

The deputy speaker of the Iraqi national council (the Parliament) Hamid Rashid al-Rawi has announced that a coalition will be organized on the Iraqi- Jordanian borders in the mid of this month to support " al-Aqsa Intifada" and to call for lifting the embargo imposed on Iraq.

Baghdad dailies quoted al-Rawi who visited Jordan that he had agreed with the speaker of the Jordanian parliament Abdul Hadi al-Majali and members of the council" to carry out a demonstration on the Iraqi- Jordanian borders in solidarity to the al-Aqsa Intifa and to break the embargo imposed on Iraq.

He explained that the march will start from both Baghdad and Jordan on February 16 to meet together in a " people and parliamentary meeting" on the borders between the two countries. he also talked about activities including speeches for the two parliaments and reciting poems.

He continued that the gathering under the title:" One cry from Baghdad and Amman. A hand to back the Intifada and a hand to break the siege imposed on Iraq" will issue a document calls for continued Intifada and to " liberate all Palestinian Arab territories from the sea to the river and to end the embargo imposed on Iraq."
