El Salvador's delegation in Morocco in june to re-launch cooperation
Morocco-El Salvador, Economics, 2/3/2001

A delegation from El Salvador, comprising parliamentarians, officials and economic operators, will visit Morocco next June to prospect means to consolidate bilateral cooperation.

A statement of the Moroccan embassy in Mexico says the decision was made at talks between Morocco's ambassador in Mexico, Mohamed Ayachi, and Salvadorian officials during a visit he paid to El Salvador (Jan.29 Feb.1) to hand over Morocco's $ 200,000 financial assistance to the Latin American country, hit last January 13 by a violent earthquake.

The delegation, to be led by speaker of the legislative assembly, will comprise heads of parliamentary groups, vice foreign minister for foreign trade, economic operators and Morocco's honorary consul in El Salvador.

The two countries signed in March 1998 a cooperation action plan and other conventions, that marked a significant leap in bilateral relations.
