Canary businessmen eye investment in Moroccan tourism
Morocco-Canary Islands, Economics, 2/3/2001

Tour operators and delegations of the central and regional administrations of the Canary islands will pay a visit to Morocco by the end of the current month to explore investment opportunities in the kingdom.

The announcement was made by chairman of the federation of enterprises of Las Palmas on the sidelines of the Madrid international tourism fair FITUR-2001.

In another development, advisor-minister to tourism and transport at the Canary regional government, Juan Carlos Becerra, called at a seminar held here Thursday on Canary economic operators to explore major emerging markets in Africa such as Morocco and Cape Verde.

The seminar was featured part of the International tourism fair "FITURE-2001," held in Madrid from Jan.31 to Fev.4.
