Confrontations continue between the Israelis, the Palestinians

Clashes and confrontations continued on Friday between the Israeli and the Palestinians amid Israeli threats to escalate terrorism.

Some 39 Palestinians were hit by the Israeli bullets in the cities of al-Beera, Toulkarem, Ramullah, Salwad and Qalqilya during the demonstrations followed Friday's prayers. One Palestinian was wounded by the Israeli bullet in the Jordan valley under the pretext that he ignored the instructions order by an Israeli military barrier.

News reports said that the demonstrations were changed into strong confrontations and that the Palestinians threw stones and explosive bottles against the Israeli army whose soldiers opened fore resulted in wounding three Palestinian youths, one of them is in a critical condition.

In Hebron ( al-Khalil) the Israeli forces threw bombs and intensive bullet fire against demonstrations and the Israeli forces tightened its siege on the city.

In Gaza, thousands of the Palestinians took part in the funeral of Ahmad Muheisen ( 22 year old) who was killed by the Israeli fire at al-Minatr crossing. The news reports added that the eulogy was converted into a massive Palestinian demonstration during which the demonstrators chanted slogans for revenging the " martyrs and escalating the Intifada."

Meantime, the Israeli prime minister Ehud Barak threatened to chase and kill the Palestinians who killed the two israeli settlers in Afoula near Jerusalem. Barak said: He has given his instruction to his army to take necessary military measures to arrest the killers of the two settlers. He announced his determination to implement the plan to separate between Israel and the Palestinians in the West bank and Gaza.

At the Palestinian level, the Palestinian official in charge of planning Nabil Shaath stressed that the Intifada is continuous and will not be affected by the continuity of contacts with israel or their suspension.

Shaath added that the Palestinians will not negotiate once again over issues and points already discussed and decisions taken place regarding them with the next israeli prime minister.
