A call to improve trade relations between Iraq, Turkey

The Iraqi daily " al-Iraqi" on Friday called on Turkey to get rid of the American control and to maintain positive trade relations with Iraq in order to improve its economic conditions and compensate the losses inflicted on its as a result of the continued economic sanctions imposed on Iraq.

The paper added that it is Turkey's interest to improve its foreign policy towards Iraq so as to serve economic and security interests, noting that the economic problems Turkey suffers from is a result of its links to the American aggressive policy.

The Iraqi daily also called on the Turkish prime Polent Acawid to compensate his country's losses through article 50 of the UN charter which permits economic co-operation with Iraq.
