Israel confiscates houses in Khan Younis, confrontations continue

One Palestinian youth was killed and many others were wounded in the confrontations with the Israeli forces in various areas of the West Bank and Gaza. The confrontations resulted in killing one Israeli.

The Israeli authorities held a tightened military siege on the city of Hebron at a time when the Israeli forces occupied two Palestinian houses and expelled its occupants and arrested several Palestinians.

In the political framework, the spokesman for the Swedish prime minister said that talks between the chairman of the Palestinian Authority Yasser Arafat and the Israeli prime minister Ehud Barak on the possibility of convening a meeting between the two sides in the Stockholm.

The spokeswoman for the Swedish police said that instructions were given to prepare for this possible meeting.

Concerning confrontations between the Israelis and the Palestinians, one Palestinian youth was killed by the Israeli bullets when he passed Carni crossing to the north of Gaza.

A medical source at al-Shefaa hospital said that the Palestinian Ahmad Muheisen (22) was attacked by the Israeli fire bullets.

However, since the beginning of the Intifada on September 28, 2000 392 Palestinians were killed by the Israeli forces.
