Moroccan foreign minister meets US peer in washington

Moroccan minister of foreign affairs and cooperation, Mohamed Benaissa, met here on Wednesday US secretary of state, Colin Powell. The two men reviewed several issues, mainly the situation in the Middle East and in Africa and renewed resolve to carry cooperation ties between the two countries to establish peace and stability in various regions of the world.

The meeting that was attended by Morocco's ambassador in Washington, Abdallah El Maaroufi, and US under-secretary of state for Middle East affairs, Edward Walker, also reviewed the longstanding relations between the two countries.
