Arab interior ministers wrap up Tunis session

The 18th session of the Arab interior ministers council wrapped up meetings here on Tuesday with the adoption of recommendations related to control of drug trafficking and terrorism.
Mohammad Ali Koman, Saudi Arabia, was elected new secretary general for a three-year term.
The session approved the second phase of the Arab anti-terrorism strategy, recommendations of the 14th Arab conference of drug-control chiefs held in Tunis last year and the third phase for the combat of illegal drug trafficking.
Home ministers of member states also approved an upcoming meeting grouping the Arab interior and information ministers to discuss crime control in the Arab world.
Reports by the Nayef security academy and the general secretariat budget were also approved.
