Italian businessmen prospect Moroccan market

A delegation of Italian businessmen from Campania, southern Italy, is currently visiting Morocco to explore partnership opportunities in the Kingdom.

The delegation members held a series of meetings with Moroccan peers in Casablanca, Morocco's economic capital, and in the northern city of Tangiers.

The businessmen were briefed on investment and partnership opportunities offered in Morocco.

In Tangier, the businessmen were informed on the city's assets and infrastructure, with a special emphasis on the industrial zone extending over 129 hectares and the off-shore area extending over 250 hectares.

Business opportunities in the sectors of water, electricity, sanitation, and port management that are to be privatized as well as in the field of tourism were probed in talks between the Italian economic operations and their peers in Tangiers.

The Campania region harbors thriving industrial units in the sectors of aeronautics, textile, electricity, electronics, agri-business, chemistry, shipyards, railways construction, new technologies and others.

The Italian businessmen mission is sponsored by the Italian foreign trade institute.
