Prince Moulay Rachid's : we assume our basic responsibility regarding children

Morocco's Prince Moulay Rachid --who is leading the Moroccan delegation to the preparatory committee for the special session of the General Assembly on children held in the United Nations headquarters in New York January 29 through 31- on Tuesday hosted a function in honor of delegations participating in the committee meeting.

Prince Moulay Rachid also held separate meetings with chairwoman of the preparatory committee, Ms Patricia Durant, head of the Tunisian delegation to the meeting, Said Ben Mustapha, and Executive Director of UNICEF (UN Children's Fund), Carol Bellamy.

In his address before the preparatory committee on Monday, Prince Moulay Rachid renewed Morocco's pledge to promote and uphold children's rights and to assume responsibility regarding children, in accordance with the World Declaration and other legal covenants related to children's rights.

"We renew. our firm determination to go ahead, take up all challenges, overcome the constraints and assume our basic responsibility regarding children, in accordance with the Convention and other legal frames related to children's rights," said Prince Moulay Rachid at Prince Moulay Rachid, who is chairman of the Moroccan preparatory committee for the special session.
