Confrontations between the Palestinians and Israeli forces continue

Confrontations continued on Monday in the occupied Palestinian territories and one Palestinian was killed in Gaza, while the Israeli prime minister Ehud Barak had defended the practices conducted by the Israeli soldiers against the unarmed Palestinians.

The Palestinian young man Muhammad Nafid Abu Mousa was killed by the Israeli bullets near Ghoushe Gateive settlement near Gaza. Other nine Palestinians were wounded while trying to prevent the Israeli bulldozers from leveling Palestinian agricultural lands near Rafah crossing.

The Palestinian youths replied to the Israeli forces violations by attacking two positions for the Israeli army near Nefeh Dekalim settlement in Gaza.

The Palestinian Intifada detonated explosives when an Israeli patrol passed near the fence surrounding Gaza at Gaza barrier district.

Contingents of Ezz eddine al-Qassam claimed responsibility for implanting the explosives which achieved direct hits in the Israeli patrols.

Strong confrontations also took place between the Palestinian citizens and the Israeli forces near Lamia bridge in the Jordan valley and resulted in wounding one settler while another settler was killed in the clashes took place near Jerusalem at al-Raam crossroad.

The palestinian youths attacked the Israeli forces and positions in the surrounding of Ramullah, using stones and explosives.

News reports said the Israeli forces kidnapped four Arabs while in a coach and took them to Natsareim settlement near Gaza.

The Israeli police summoned Sheikh Hashem Abdul Rahman, the spokesman for the Islamic movement to investigate him over a festival held in Um al-Fahm town of the palestinian territories of 1948 over charges of provoking the Palestinians against Israel.
