Jordanian detainees expected to be released from Syrian jails

The Jordanian daily al-Rai said on Monday that certain international human rights organizations and commissions told the committee of the Jordanian detainees families in Syria about the intention of the Syrian authorities to release all these detainees very soon.
The chairman of the Jordanian detainees families committee lawyer Imad al-Sharqawi said that the international organizations told him after contacts with sides concerned in Syria that the Jordanian detainees will be released within the two coming weeks.
Al-Sharqawi, in a press statement expressed the committee's welcome of this Syrian step which he said " comes under the remarkable brotherly relations between Jordan and Syria under the leadership of King Abdullah and President Bashar al-Assad.
